We trained Courtney Hegner (SURF Program) and Brendan Arp (Kenan HS Fellows) for the summer. Over the course of 10 weeks, they learned basic molecular biology and immunology techniques while conducting their own research projects. At the end of the summer, SURF interns present a poster and Kenan interns give a short presentation about their work.
Congrats to Courtney for being recognized as a Top Poster Presenter and Travel Award Winner for her poster: “Determining the Role of Chromatin Regulators in the Differentiation of CD8 T cells”!
We are very proud of everything Courtney and Brendan have accomplished this summer. Best of luck to both of them, as they will be completing their senior year.
